

MMSC: The effects of the digitalization on active sports consumption and training and coaching
Session Session 2: Tailored exercise programsThe presentation deals with the influence of digitalization on sports, by showing the results of a multi-part quantitative study. On a sample of active athletes was examined, which instruments are used and which processes are carried out digitally. An important research question was moreover, to investigate, how digital products and applications influence their sports activities and if the digitalization causes more active sport consumption or just changes the way how sports are done. In parallel, a quantitative study also examined how coaches use digital elements in their lessons and how they assess, that this mega trend is affecting sports in general. After evaluating the individual results, the study results are also merged so that comprehensive statements can be derived
