Individuals suffering from Long COVID may experience fatigue and discomfort. Exercise is not recommended as an intervention for people who feel uncomfortable after exercise. An appropriate risk-benefit assessment and continuous monitoring should take place before any type of physical activity can be recommended as a rehabilitation measure. People with Long COVID may have impairment of various organs, including the heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, pancreas, and spleen. For athletes recovering from COVID-19, extensive heart screening is recommended before starting any physical exercise.
